A musical journey by train from Scotland to India via Siberia, China and South East Asia. Equipped with a violin, laptop and a video camera, two musicians capture and experience sounds, images and spoken word.

Georgia Browne

Georgia Browne

A violinist proficient in many different styles, Georgia (24) has eight years professional performing and recording experience with a range of bands and orchestras.

Classically trained, she graduated in Music from the University of Bristol, where she specialised in Ethnomusicology and Performance.

After a PGCE focusing on World Music in the Classroom, Georgia has spent the last year teaching music in a rural Secondary School in South West Scotland while also coordinating and tutoring a Traditional Music Project.

Tom Payne

A former music journalist with ‘The Scotsman’, Tom (27) continues to combine his interest in music with writing. After a choral scholarship at Bristol Cathedral, he went on to study drama at the University of Exeter, specialising in post-colonial studies and filmmaking.

Since then he has expanded his skills to include New Media work, including websites, animation and digital video production. Most recently, he has been working for a New Media publishing company based in South West Scotland.
